The Annapolis Dragon Boat Club is run by the Annapolis Dragon Boat Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Our mission is to promote the development of healthy bodies and spirits, support recovery from breast cancer and all other cancers, and grow friendships and teamwork.

We promote and develop dragon boating to build physical strength, endurance, and confidence with an emphasis on recreation, synchrony, and harmony while on the water.

The club was founded in the spring of 2010 by Annapolitan, entrepreneur, and breast cancer survivor Mike Ashford. From a handful of supporters, we have grown to over 100 members. More than half of our members are breast cancer survivors. One man’s generosity and leadership became a source of strength, renewal, and friendship for the many who followed him.
