When the boat first hits the water
And the dragon’s eyes awake,
We know you’re riding with us,
With every stroke we take.
When the boat glides down Spa Creek
And we hear the egret’s cry,
We know you’re riding with us,
As we smile and close our eyes.
When the boat heads out to race
And we strive to prove our speed,
We know you’re riding with us,
As our paddles take the lead.
When the boat rides out to bay,
And the evening sun has set,
You’re the ones we remember,
The ones we can’t (won’t) forget.
