The Annapolis Dragon Boat Club is a 501c3 organization, which began in the fall of 2010 to promote the 2500 year old sport of dragon boat racing and to provide a supportive environment for fitness, recovery and strengthening of persons who have survived cancer.

Today, the Club has grown to more than 80 members as it continues to promote and develop the sport of dragon boating as a means of building physical strength, endurance and confidence with an emphasis on recreation, synchrony and harmony while on the water… the beautiful Spa Creek.

As we grow in members, so do our list of accomplishments. To date, ADBC has competed in dragon boat regattas in Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Washington, D.C. In 2017, ADBC set a Guinness Book World record for paddling a half marathon in under 3 hours in the Annapolis Harbor. In 2018, ADBC had the honor of representing  Maryland in the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission (IBCPC) Dragon Boat Festival in Florence, Italy. Over 2800 paddlers from 17 countries, comprising 129 teams, competed – and all are breast cancer survivors.
